This is the third year that our girl has spent the full two weeks at Piomingo. The big difference is that this year she is going back as a counselor in training. We're very excited that she was given the opportunity to step up in a leadership position. The summer will be gone before we know it, but we are still galloping full speed ahead which is why Tomten Farm and Sanctuary will be offering a special mentoring program to animal loving kids ages 11-16. This unique program is designed for kids with the desire to learn more about the day-to-day operations of an animal sanctuary and get hands on experience with our rescues. Taught by our long term volunteer and intern, UNH Equine Science major, Aileen W., it’s sure to be chock of personal attention, education, hard work, and more animals than you can count. Join us at the farm 2-3 weekdays from July 10th to the 31st, 10:30-2:30 and help us go above and beyond to maintain happy, healthy animals 365 days a year. As always, safety comes first so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing (closed toed, hard shoes, bug spray and sunscreen) and bring a signed release, a copy parent/guardian license or federal ID (feel free to black out addresses, birth dates, and SS or S numbers) drinks, lunch, and an appetite to contribute and get involved with one of your favorite rescues! Experienced staff will provide new and exciting adventures each day! Campers will participate in activities including group games, crafts, songs, nature hikes, sports, swimming and weekly field trips. Each week will be a different theme, with activities and entertainers. Every camper will receive a camp shirt. Please make sure to note shirt size on registration form. Please dress appropriately for camp. Tennis shoes required; no sandals. During inclement weather, camp will be held indoors. Bring a sack lunch and drink every day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every camper will receive a camp shirt. The Road to Rio Gymnastics Camp-I - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Session I For rising JK-4th grade students Dont miss your Road to Rio! It starts at our incredibly fun and challenging camp. Introduce your All-American Girl or Iron Man to the spirit of gymnastics! All-American Girl instruction will focus on vault, bars, balance beam, floor exercise and mini-trampoline. We will encourage the "grace" behind the sport and will incorporate turns, leaps, jumps and elements of the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics along with tumbling and mini-trampoline. In our "Iron Men" tumbling program, the boys will be grouped by age and introduced to the basics of tumbling acrobatics such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, handsprings, jumps and safety falls, in addition to mini trampoline fundamentals. For the older boys we offer acro-slam activities such as dunking balls by jumping off the mini-tramp. To round out this program, we will encourage the girls and boys to challenge their strength, flexibility, & coordination through fun, age appropriate gymnastics, challenges, and activities. Begin here & join the Road to Rio for 2016 Olympic Year! Daily Olympic games and relays played with prizes and end- of-camp participation medals will be included. SESSION 2 JUNE 27-29 Catch a Wave – An introduction to musical theater Monday – Wednesday PM Session: 1:00-3:30pm For kids entering 1st or 2nd grade in the Fall of 2016 Fee: Early Bird - $50, General - $55 ($60 on or after May 15) Campers will learn to explore their creativity through music, movement, acting games, arts and crafts. This camp gives kids a great introduction to theater arts in a nurturing and warm atmosphere using beach-themed scene and music. Junior camp emphasizes running technique, basic track and field skills, and learning a variety of events. Each camper will learn how to pole vault, sprint, throw, jump and run.
