Teen Empowerment & Survival Camp Summer 2016 - Tucson, AZ
This camp is designed specifically with teenagers’ safety and well-being in mind. As parents, we want our teenagers to be safe, but we also want them to grow up feeling comfortable with themselves, having a healthy self-esteem and self-image. This means equipping them with the skills and knowledge to assess and deal with both physically and psychologically threatening situations. Safety at school cannot be overstressed. Since this where our teenagers spend a large majority of their day regularly, the probability of their being exposed to, or involved in, dangerous or unhealthy situations is extremely high. Whether it’s an outside threat that poses a danger to the entire school, or a fellow student whose words and actions are psychologically damaging to an individual, our teenagers should know how to assess and act before, during, and after an event. More importantly, though, our teenagers should feel comfortable and confident so that they do act. This is where education and training becomes invaluable. Election Day Camp- Kids - Lafayette, LA
School is out for Election Day! Don’t stress, Nutty Scientists has you covered with an All-Day Camp filled with Interactive Workshops, Scienceful Art Projects, and Cool Inventions! You can either purchase camp time by the hour for $5 per hour or you can purchase the whole day! $45 w/ Lunch/Snack/Juice. $40 w/ NO Lunch/Snack/ Nor Juice. Lunch will be Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza and we will supply juice and snack. If you select the NO LUNCH option you MUST provide Lunch & Snack. We have a water fountain but you may also send juice or water! PLEASE do not send any type of nuts to Nutty Scientists with your child. We have many little ones with nut allergies! If you are registering hourly, choose number of tickets per hour you are registering for. Example: You want 3 hours, select 3 tickets next to hourly pass. Ages accepted is 5-11! Time: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm 9:00am – 10:00am is drop off. The door will remain locked until 9:00am. This is considered an “early drop-off” to cater to more parents getting to work. SCENE STUDY (1.5 Hours) FRI - Loudoun Arts Center
Using scenes from some of the leading voices in contemporary theatre, students will learn how to approach performing in 2-3 person scenes. Studies will include dramaturgical research, scoring the script, scene coaching, and in-class performances with feedback. This course requires approximately 3 hours of rehearsal with an assigned scene partner(s) prior to each class. Scene Study culminates in a final performance. 703-444-5888
Extra Pointers Football Camp 1 (Grades 6-12) - WWP North Athletic Camp
Extra Pointers Kicking, Punting & Specialists Football Camp (Grades 6 - 12) The goal of this camp is to make athletes into solid, competent performers. Camp will expose kickers, punters, holders, and snappers to all aspects of their respective positions: mechanics, technique, game-situation, mental preparedness, and physical training. Campers receive an Extra pointers t-shirt, a printed technique guide by position, and video evaluation. For students interested in attending both Extra pointers camps, June 21-23 & Aug. 2-4 they will receive $50 off the cost of the two camps but must register for the "combo" camp to receive discount. This is Big Folks! We are so excited to present something we have been planning for a long time. Introducing Van-A-Gogh-Go, Austins Traveling Art Camp! Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards of front crawl as well as 50 yards of breaststroke in good form. American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors will lead participants through two water sessions per day which will include group lectures on Aquatics Safety as well as introductions to Aquatic Sports. On the last day, participants will have the opportunity to use our giant inflatables and will take part in a Junior Lifeguarding Competition.
