LATEST CAMPS NEWS: TEE IT UP at Tunxis - Tunxis Fore Driving Range
The Tee it Up Program is for never-ever golfers or those with little to no swing experience. Introduce your child to the game of golf in a low-stress environment. No clubs necessary or prior golf experience necessary. Tee it Up is held on a weekly basis for 1 hour at both SWG locations. We recommend at least four (4) Tee It Up Classes before an evaluation for our Medalist Program. YOU MAY SELECT YOUR ACTUAL CLASSES FROM THE SCHEDULE STARTING MARCH 1. Each child will learn paint mixing techniques, outlining, shading and much more all while meeting new friends! - Reservations: We will limit this event to 16 teens. On April 30 & May 1st at Montpelier High School, individuals and organizations working for disability rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, climate justice and labor unions will come together for a weekend to share, learn and take action together. The organizers of the convention are working hard to make this an intergenerational event with a parallel Youth Activism Summit for teens, and a Kid’s Camp for children 12 and under. To make lasting and far reaching change we need the participation of Grandparents, Parents and their Children! Teresa Assenzo is an Instructor of Fine Arts at Saint Marys School. Ms. Assenzo has a B.F.A from Kendall College of Art and Design, an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She has taught at Western Michigan University and has worked with children of all ages at art museums and institutes. Ms. Assenzo has also illustrated and published books for parents and children, has done free-lance writing, and has done art and writing with diverse groups of children and adults.
