Best Summer Ever
Our son just got back from the YMCA Camp and he can't stop talking about all the fun. We knew he was having a good time based on the photos he sent us but to see his face light up when he is retelling the stories is priceless. I'm sure we'll be hearing about the surf lessons, the horseback riding and the campfires for months to come! Kayak your way through the harbor and play games like capture the flag, sponge tag, kayak soccer, knockout, and create your own scavenger hunt. Dates: June 27-July 1 Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm for Girls Entering Grades 7-12 Format: One-week session Location: Laurels Butler Campus in Russell Township Tuition: Boys-Only Camp: $325/session: Girls-Only Camp: $180/session Get a jump on the season with an intense week of fitness and skill training! This first-class soccer camp focuses on enhancing individual skills, building team tactics and teaching intricacies of the game. In addition to soccer skills, campers will spend time in our state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot fitness center while working with Laurels certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to learn about lifting techniques, agility, speed, ACL injury prevention and nutrition. Participants will be split into groups based on age and experience. Coach Dennis Weyn - Director of Coaching for Ohio Premier Soccer Club and Eastside Kickers, Dennis is a former member of the U16 and U18 Dutch National Teams and played professional soccer in the Netherlands and the US. Participants will get the chance to learn the rules of the game, develop their skills and fundamentals and HAVE FUN with the help of golf professionals from Dobson Ranch Golf Course. All equipment is provided. Participants must wear closed-toe athletic shoes or golf shoes. All participants should also bring water each day to stay hydrated in the summer heat. Registration fee is $80 total for Mesa residents/$96 non-resident. (Due at time of enrollment: $40 Mesa resident/$480non-resident. Contractor fee due to the instructor the first day of program: $40 Mesa resident/$48 non-resident. Cash payments only for instructor fee.) This course will cover all aspects of developing good manners from the the importance of eye contact and a firm handshake, to learning proper table etiquette and everything in between! Students will learn the importance of sharing, being helpful and how to graciously handle uncomfortable situations.
