This was the first time our daughter was going away for the summer and we were understandable cautious but optimistic. Doing the research on Brewster before signing up helped because there were so many positive reviews. I'm happy to report they lived up to those reviews in so many ways. I was especially impressed at how the counselors made it seem like every kid was a priority. This makes me wish I could go to summer camp! We'll be back next year!... Read More...

Come join other young quilters and make some new friends. Participants will complete a quilt top in this one day class using a simple pattern. Age 10 and up and must own and know how to operate their own sewing machine. Registration fee is $60 (includes fabric and pattern).

Our Jr. S.T.E.A.M. Team members (ages 3-5), our S.T.E.A.M. Team members (ages 6-9), and our Counselors-in-Training (ages 10-13) will join forces to solve mysteries, visit the Louvre, take on the Big Apple, and visit the Texas Zoo. Families can register their campers for just one adventure or they can take on the full S.T.E.A.M. Team challenge by signing up for all 4 camps, giving them the title of Jr. CDM Ambassador (ages 3-9) or CDM Ambassador (ages 10-13). CDM Ambassadors will receive a “sneak peek” of the museum prior to its grand opening this fall, and while visiting, they will have the opportunity to share their genius ideas with museum staff and volunteers! During Week 1 of camp, the S.T.E.A.M. team will take on a big job. The team members will use their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to solve a mystery so strange, even the grown-ups are perplexed! Solve some of wildlifes greatest mysteries during this week of observations and investigations. How do animals walk on water? How do marine mammals survive arctic temperatures? Move, express and think quickly on your feet! This workshop is full of fun theater games and improvisational activities where students will work collaboratively to create numerous characters and plots and then bring them to life on stage. We will learn and laugh a lot together. We will focus on the process of building an actors skills by using improvisation as the tool for exploration and discovery.
