This girls-only camp is a favorite camp for my 12 year old daughter. There are a variety of day and week long camps offered; each according to a girl’s age. Girls have lots of choices with this camp. They can choose between camping in a tree house or a tent. They can do one overnight stay or a week long stay. There are plenty of outdoor activities to keep girls interested and learn about nature. The only driving education offered to teens is Driver’s Ed in high school (sitting behind a desk) and then 6 hours behind the wheel to get their permit. Prepare for SAT success! In this rigorous, half-day camp, youll learn the form and style of the test--which was completely redesigned as of March 2016--as well as the essential content and strategies for approaching each question on the critical reading and writing portions of the SAT. You will learn how to recognize the types of questions asked on the reading passages, become a more critical reader, and identify the evidence on which your answers are based. For the writing section, we will review the most commonly tested grammar rules and skills as well as learn and practice what it takes to write an outstanding essay, which is now optional and follows a completely different format from the previous version of the SAT. Youll leave this camp with the confidence and skills to make your best score yet on critical reading and writing! (An SAT book will be provided.) Jaymee Gaskins received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a masters in Reading Education from Meredith College. The Day Volleyball Camps offer instruction at the beginner and advanced levels. Beginners will focus on knowledge of the game, competitive fun, and fundamental ball control. Advanced campers will cover the proper technique for basic skills, offensive playsets, defensive formations, strategy, teamwork and attitude, and setting personal and team goals. Campers will be placed on teams, depending on skill level, with specialized coaching on each level. Each camper should bring comfortable volleyball or cross train-ing sneakers, extra shirt and socks, and a container of water. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items.
