Sign up for the Campus Catholic Fall Retreat: Seeing the Face of Christ in the Vulnerable! Come out and spend a weekend in the mountains full of fellowship, fun and of course JESUS!! In this group please post your name, t-shirt size, and if you are able to provide transportation, and if so how many people you can drive. The retreat will be held at Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, GA. Plan on meeting at Sacred Heart at 3:15 so we can get everyone situated in cars, but we plan on leaving at 3:30 from Sacred Heart in order to arrive at Hidden Lake around 6:30. Dinner will be provided Friday night, and all meals up until Sunday breakfast will be provided. The cost of the retreat is $20 for Georgia College students and $40 for non-Georgia College students, but if you are unable to pay just talk to Deacon and we will find a way for you to be able to go. CBMM’s Kids Club summer camps for 6-7 Year Olds - Saint Michaels, MD
Beginning June 20 and continuing through July 29, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is offering its week-long, half day Kids Camps, which bring age-appropriate Chesapeake-themed camps for children 4-7 years of age. Led by a CBMM educator, young Kids Club campers explore the magic of the Chesapeake Bay’s people, animals, and watercraft through fun and interactive activities, stories, games, and crafts. CBMM’s summer camps for children 4-5 years of age are offered during the weeks of June 20, July 4, and July 18; camps for children 6-7 years of age are offered the weeks of June 27, July 11, and July 25. Daily camps take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with campers meeting at CBMM’s Dorchester House and exploring the museum’s 18-acre campus and numerous exhibition buildings as part of the program. Participation is limited, with camps filling fast and pre-registration required. The cost for the week-long camp is $125 for CBMM members, or $150 for non-members, with scholarships available. Campers will try their hand at printing, felting, sewing, weaving, and dyeing with both natural + synthetic dyes, creating finished projects every week. Every day, campers venture on a field trip to the Textile Arts Center Manhattan to print, dye, sew, and on Weaving Wednesdays, campers work on looms to create their very own contemporary fabric.
