Overland Kids Halloween Party
Mark your calendars, put on your costume and join us for a fun spooky night with all your friends. We will have costume contests by age groups, pizza and a drink for the kids, scavenger hunt, games and prizes, and candy! This is a free, safe, indoor trick-or-treating event open to children ages 2 to 12 of Overland Residents, Overland Business Owners, and City of Overland Employees and their families. Parents are required to accompany their children for the entire duration of their stay. Registration will start on October 1st and will end on October 29, or until the maximum number has been registered. This event will be held on Friday October 30 in the gymnasium at the Overland Community Center from 6-8:15 pm, with check in time between 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. only. All participants must be in costume and donate at least one can food item to enter the event. Register on Oct. 1 and be one of the first 175 overland kids entered into this year’s extraordinary Kids Halloween Party.
Teen Camp - Moreno Valley, CA
July 31 - August 6, 2016 (Sunday - Saturday) COST: $265 per camper Registration: Sunday at 3:00pm Come join the fun at Teen Camp as we discover how we can be "Relentless" in our walk with Christ and stand for Him even when it means standing alone. Teen camp is an action packed week with late night recreation, crazy games and relays, horses, archery, tournaments, relaxing in the pool or playing a game of pool in the air conditioned recreation room while making new friends or hanging out with old ones. Last year this week almost sold out, so register early! Teen Camp is open to students entering grades 7 thru 2016 Graduates. There will be a separate program for Jr. High and High School. The $50 non-refundable deposit is due by July 1, 2016 to secure a place for your child. Also, to receive a $10 discount please mail in the remaining balance due or the complete amount due by July 1st, 2016. Fall Getaway - Lake Geneva, WI
Come join us for a HUGE weekend in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Pastor Joel Lawrence from the Twin Cities will be coming down. We are planning a weekend where we can come alongside each other as student and speak and grow in our faith together. This is a time of unity for our area, we want to be closer than ever before to friends in our area displaying the love of Christ. So we we will be partnering in this retreat with Badger CRU from Madison in our larger group meetings! There will be football, Capture the Flag, and an awesome opportunity to make friends while being in community! Registration is only $30! Register sooner rather than later. This course assumes basic knowledge of Java and applies it to the Processing environment. This allows students to use Java to express themselves in a more creative format with easy-to-use graphical capabilities. Students can choose to either make artistic projects with a narrative or an interactive game. This class will help grow the students understanding of Java, as well as how to incorporate new libraries and methods. It will challenge the students to be inventive with not only how to solve problems, but also with the creative direction of their projects.
