Activities*** A full range of balanced programs will be offered, from exciting Jewish thematic activities to sports, arts and crafts, hiking, games, music, Oneg Shabbat and singing with Craig Parks. Staff*** Our staff are mature, well trained Head Counselors, Counselors, and and Counsels-in Training. We assist campers in forming a positive self-image as Jews and human beings, while guiding the individual camper in his/her personal development. We provide each staff member with excellent training and supervision, and evaluation. Camp Simcha has one of the best camper to counselor ratios in San Diego. Swimming*** Recreational swimming at the Lomas Santa Fe Boys and Girls Club twice weekly. Camp Simcha counselors will assist the trained and certified staff. Field Trips*** Weekly camp trips will be to places within San Diego County. Afternoon extended care must be arranged with the camp directors. Wave Runners Day Camp- Session 1 (4th-8th Graders) - Environmental Studies Center
Campers will have lots of fun while learning to care for their environment. Outdoor activities and environmental learning are the focus of this camp. New this year! Snack bar open each morning and ice cream day on Tuesdays. All selections $1.00. Activities include: *A boat trip on the Indian River Lagoon *Seining *Setting up and maintaining aquaria *Area beach and park visits *Fishing *Cast netting *Various water activities *Snorkeling *Arts & Crafts *Games & relay races *Special Friday activities All teachers are state certified and camper/teacher ratio is 20/1. In addition, high school counselors assist teachers with supervision. All water activities are closely monitored. One week minimum, $180.00 per week. Kaleidoscope Each week is designed around a fun theme to meet the developmental needs of children. Rising PK2nd grade children work in small groups directed by early childhood specialists. Activities include: art, creative snacks, music and movement, games, Spanish, science, and sports. Do it all at Kaleidoscope. Themes: A Bugs Life, Around the World, Storyland, and Odyssey Under the Sea.. Each theme is presented in music/drama and art. Wear comfortable camp clothes and tennis shoes.
