This is the 3rd Annual Summer Camp Fair brought to you by WilliamsburgFamilies.com, the Virginia Gazette and James City County Parks and Recreation. We plan to have 40+ Camps, Sports, Dance, Arts, Overnight and Special Interest Camps and programs. Pools, Swim teams, VBS, and more! Cooking Around the World Camp Take a food tour around the world with Footsteps Chef, Christian, and our Footsteps@Shores Site Director! Each day the children travel to a new area to prepare international foods from diverse cultural traditions, learn about healthy food habits, and enjoy being in the kitchen! Dance Stretch & Conditioning -This class focuss on stretching, toning, body placement and across the floor and work for dancers to perfect movements. Bring your creativity, enthusiasm, and community spirit as we spend a week immersed in woodworking! Campers will learn about a variety of tools and techniques as they turn original project ideas into reality. Students will also participate in a service project partnering with students at the St. Aquinas Center in South Philly. Possible projects may include constructing a stool, a box, a bookshelf, birdhouse, musical instrument, a game, and more! Campers will work individually and collaboratively to plan, measure, cut, build, and decorate their projects using basic hand tools. Safety and proper use of protective eyewear will be stressed at all times, as campers work with saws, drills, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers. Woodworking experience is not required; all that is needed is a desire to learn new skills and have fun! Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am.
