Campers will turn their digital snapshots into real photographs, learning how to combine traditional basics of photography, (lighting, composition and style) and blend them into the digital age. Campers will learn how to tear apart a pixel in a digital darkroom and take a photo, even members of their family will like. This camp has plenty of outdoor activity. Campers should bring a digital camera, extra batteries, a USB cord to attach their camera to a computer and a CD or external jump drive to load and save their finished images. Berrien County Riders 2016 Annual MDA Summer Camp Run - Saint Joseph,
10 am sign up at the mark. $20.00 driver $10.00 rider. Ride leaves at noon on a scenic route to the Dowagiac Moose and then back to playland hall on Nickerson Ave. Lunch and dinner supplied. Cash bar. Door prizes and silent auction. We want to make this one of the largest events we have done for MDA and send as many kids to camp as we can at no charge to them. What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 8, 2016. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th grade-age 25 by that same date. When is Youth Councils 2016? Youth Councils 2016 is being held from April 8-10, at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center. How much does Youth Councils cost? Only $25. Only $25?! Acting and Auditioning Studio Workshop - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
This 3 week workshop puts an in depth focus on the skills needed to succeed in theatre and performance. Working with professional performers, directors, and teaching artists, students will receive instruction in Acting, Vocals, and Dance including: -script analysis -improvisation -monologue technique -physicality -breaking down lyrics -finding the story of the song -basics of a professional musical theatre audition -choosing songs that showcase YOU -finding a 16-bar cut -working with an accompanist -stretching and warm up -basics of musical theatre dance -moving like a dancer -dance auditions (how to make it out alive) The workshop culminates in a feedback audition to introduce you to local theatre professionals on Friday night as well as a student designed performance of skills on Saturday morning. Students will be accessed at their math level, then work to strengthen and improve their math ability, skills, and understanding. QuadCopter Aerial Robotics – Ages 12-15 - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Price Includes $100 lab fee Campers will explore aerial robotics technology with fun and engaging educational scenarios and challenges. This camp offers aviation flight skills and interactive robotics training, and encourages camper interest in the career fields of Science, Math, and Engineering. Campers will build prototypes with the new technology and run test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue. Multiple teams of four will apply technology and planning to build a quad rotor designed for a specific first responder mission. Missions include: delivering pharmaceuticals to people in a disaster area, maneuvering the copter close to a (mock) hazardous waste container, and searching for a lost hiker.
