2016 Pre-Teen Summer Camp – Register March 9-11 - Scott Air Force Base
Youth, ages 9-13, are invited to register for the YP Pre-Teen Summer Camp which is held weekdays during the summer months from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This camp offers half day care with extracurricular activities for youth. Field trips will be conducted once a week to places like Sky Zone, City Museum, Raging Rivers Water Parks, The Fusion, laser tag, as well as excursions to base activities. (Field trips/activities such as bowling are an additional cost.) Fee: $100/child per week, plus the cost of excursions. Youth Programs membership is required. Annual Program membership is $48/child. Camp begins at 6:30 a.m., and ends at 12:30 p.m. when open recreation at the Youth Center starts. Youth are required to bring their own meals, however the snack bar is open periodically. Limited slots are available, sign-up early! Registration will coincide with School Age Program Summer Camp registration days, March 9-11 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more details, call Youth Programs at 256-5139.

The Sweet Life - Celebration Church Metairie Campus - Metairie, LA

2017 Teen Winter Retreat - Jackson, OH
Registration for the retreat will be held on Saturday, January 28, from 3– 4 p.m. and will dismiss at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 29. The Teen Winter Retreat will feature many fun events, activities and programs. You will need to bring your completed health form and activity release form that is signed by your parent/guardian in order to participate. Please bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes as we will probably be taking part in some outdoor activities during the retreat. You will also need to bring your own, bedding, towels and bathroom supplies. Registrations should be submitted by Friday, January 20 to Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp. HotSpot SUMMER CAMP - Miami, FL
Hotspot Dance Studio offers a yearly Summer Camp that will make sure your son or daughter not only has a safe place to enjoy their summer vacation and be part of activies, but also a place where they will be learning new skills related to performance arts. Hotspot Summer Camp Program will begin Monday June 14th and end August 5th of 2016. Hotspot takes campers to two field trips a week as well as bringing in teachers of all dance styles to do activities! Dancers have the option of doing an end of Summer dance showcase when camp ends. Contemporary Ballet Ages 13+ - Ovation Dance Studio
A creative combination of modern dance elements and the classical ballet elements. Dancers will focus on barre work, technique, floor work, flexibility, strength, conditioning and combinations. Female Students: Any color leotard, dance tights and Pink split sole ballet shoes. Warm ups, leggings, skirts or shorts may be worn over dance wear with permission of instructor No bare legs or street clothes will be permitted in class. SKATEBOARD CAMP WITH AMBUSH BOARD CO. - Swift-Cantrell Park
Learn the basics of skateboarding from the experts at Ambush Board Co. Be introduced to skateboarding with others of similar skills, age, and experience level - from getting started, safety, and park etiquette to ollies, flip-tricks, and grinds. Discover skateboarding culture, learn new tricks, and become part of the skateboard community. Supplies: Campers should bring plenty of water and a snack each day. Campers should bring their skateboard, helmet, knee and elbow pads if they have them. Equipment will be available for those who need to borrow it. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. EXPLORERS DAY CAMP-Adventurers and Trailblazers - Germantown Friends School
The Explorers Day Camp offers five weeks of old-fashioned summertime fun, designed to develop campers curiosity and creativity through weekly theme-oriented sessions. Each week, Explorers will participate amazing activities designed by GFSs own LS art teacher Heather Chu Marvill and ASP Art Coordinator, Joli Harnish. In addition, campers will enjoy science, cooking, nature, and sports-related activities. The GFS campus will serve as the primary location for exploration and skill-building. Half-day field trips to nearby cultural destinations provide opportunities for hands-on learning and discovery. Campers will build confidence, forge new friendships, and grow through new experiences, all within a safe and fun-focused environment. Swims at the Germantown Cricket Club during weeks #1, #2, and #3 will add to the summertime fun and plans are in the works to include swimming for weeks #4 and #5 as well! Debate Camp: Introduction - Hopkins Campus
Do you like to discuss current events? Do you wish you could speak with more confidence? Learning the art of debate will help you understand how to analyze issues, speak with authority and engage others. Debate camp will introduce you to the fundamentals of competitive academic debate while learning the basics of good argument theory, the format and rules of competitive debate, critical thinking, research and speech skills. C-2 It IS Easy as pi - Aurora
Participants will work together using pi to try to open an ancient chest filled with treasure!! The chest is protected by a passcode that can only be determined through the activities within the lesson. Enjoy a progressive exposure to pi through this two-part lesson (total 110 minutes) offering a FUN storyline within the context of geometry and circles.
