Summer 5 Days of Knight Camp for Kids - Battle of Agincourt - Portland
Kids day camp for the week of Aug 22nd through Aug. 26th Ages 7 through 12 - or first grade and up. Camp runs Monday through Thursday- 9:30am to 3:30pm Children should pack a lunch or bring money to buy food at the Subway in our parking lot. Before and after care are available for an additional fee - see below. Camp must be pre-registered. There are no refunds however arrangements can be made to transfer registration to a different child. Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the crusades and beyond to the 16th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time and culture of Knighthood. This this course we will focus on the Battle of Agincourt.... a decisive time in history. The invasion took a muster of troops... a ship voyage... and then an overland campaign. This past year saw the Anniversary celebration of the Battle at European battle sites and museums. In addition... This will be an open house from 2pm to 5pm. All sales made help and are very much appreciated as ALL commission from this fundraiser will go towards Natalie storm and her royal family kids camp. Young Physician - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring "Young Physician". If your child enjoys checking out the cool gadgets and models in the Pediatricians office, sign them up! Campers learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! They perform hands-on experiments as they learn about brains, taste buds, blood, muscles and bones, check heart rates and listen to their lungs with their very own stethoscope. Campers will extract DNA and learn about genetics, test for germs, build spinal column, ear drum and lung models. Basketball Week 8 - Knott Hall
Playing in a state-of-the-art field house, with four basketball courts, basketball camp at Loyola is designed to improve the fundamental offensive and defensive skills of each player in a fun, yet competitive setting. The camp is geared to improve the skills of the beginning player and the more advanced player. There are four basic goals of the camp: 1. Each camper has an enjoyable experience 2. Each camper loves the game more by the end of the week 3. Each camper improves his/her skills 4. Each camper learns how to continue that improvement after the camp. During the camp day, campers will participate in station sessions with work on fundamentals, 2 camp contests, 2 games, a shooting session, and 1 film or pool session. Loyolas varsity head coach, Josh Davalli, leads these camps. He was an all league player in the Baltimore Catholic League and played Division I basketball at Towson University. Musical Masters Camp - Pensacola Little Theatre
Bring Broadway to life through learning the fundamentals of musical theatre auditions and performance. Students will explore in depth musical theatre history as well as the elements of singing, dancing and musical theatre style acting. A musical showcase starring the students will be presented on the last day of class. There will be NO camp on the Monday, the 4th of July. Camp will resume the next day. Creative Dramatics Camp - Childrens Theatre (CHT)
This unique camp provides a wonderful introduction to theatre for young children through the use of creative drama, movement and games by focusing on their natural sense of play. The aim of the camp is to encourage inventiveness and originality. In each session children are introduced to different creative dramatic building blocks so the class may be repeated. Children should bring a snack to each class. Yick Yack Yuck - EcoAdventures
Yick, Yack, Yuck July 5th-8th 9am – 4pm (Ages 5 – 11) Monday – Friday Its the study of everything gross in this camp, as kids jump into the world of disgusting (I know…you say they are already there…)!! Its all things gooey, slimy, slippery…funky, ugly, and foul!!! All of the gross stuff that kids just LOVE! Kids will get down and dirty with lots of hands-on activities, and in this special edition of Grossology. For this camp kids will be rolling up their sleeves and getting elbow deep in the ultimate Yuck and Muck!! Campers will dissect owl pellets (dried up wads of owl vomit that the birds yack up periodically) looking for all the bits and bobs of what the owls have been eating. So, for those brave enough to pick through them, there are treasures to be found! Get the scoop about animal poop and even make edible poo (ewwww GROSS), and if that doesnt do it for you then its slime time with edible glow in the dark slime. Learn about animals that have slime for defenses. Interact with slimy toads, salamanders…feel smooth snakes, and a prickly hedgehog. Well muck about outside so plan on getting... (410) 279-5416
