Keelboat Adventures is a perfect fit for those kids who want to learn to sail on bigger boats. Our 23 foot Sonar will take these students all over Fishers Island Sound. A NESS instructor will be onboard while students learn how to work as a team to get this boat cruising. Kid's Summer Camp: Texas Week *Ages 7-13 - Sherman, TX
Campers, ages 7-13, will explore Texas all week through paintings and other related activities. They will paint a 16x20 painting each day M-Th, and work on a 24x36 self portrait through the week. Volleyball Camp: Middle School - Piedmont Middle School
This middle school volleyball camp focuses on individual player development and teamwork. attention is given to technique, skill and confidence so each camper improves as a volleyball player and develops a love for the game. All skill levels welcome! Sarah brings an extensive background in indoor and beach volleyball. As a junior in college she played for the Cals Indoor Volleyball team as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. Entering her senior year at UC Berkeley, Cole plans to finish her degree in integrative biology and continue her volleyball career as a current member of the Cals Womens Beach Volleyball Team. She is a AAA rated sand volleyball player and has coached for Presentation High School, City Beach Volleyball Club, Cal Summer Camps, and Piedmont Middle School. Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program - University of Texas at Austin
The Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program is designed to provide advanced vocal training for high school juniors & seniors, and college freshmen & sophomore singers. Our goal is to prepare young singers for voice auditions, admission, and successful integration to nationally recognized music programs. This intensive five-week program meets every Monday and Tuesday in June to engage students in a variety of classes, lessons, and performance opportunities. The program culminates with performances. BOCYAP is a one day per week event with the exception of production week. The curriculum will include individual voice instruction and classes related to the art of singing, including diction classes, song and aria interpretation, dance and the science behind vocal production. There will also be courses designed to prepare young singers for the application and audition process of undergraduate music schools and professional young artist programs. These courses range from instruction on how to dress, learning skills that are tested on entrance and diagnostic exams and a mock audition with professional and personal feedback. At the end of the program, students will perform in a Solo and Opera Scenes Concert that will exhibit what the student has learned throughout the program. Dates: Monday June 6... 512-232-2080
