Job Responsibilities include: -Assisting children as they transition on adn off the campus as well as in the classroom, ultimately supporting a positive and effect learning environment. -Following the lead of the classroom teacher and helping with transitions, group work, classroom set-up and helping get supplies and materials ready for each school day. -Helping student to eh pool, helping in the locker room before and after swimming while also assisting the pool staff with student needs. -Supporting the mission of the program and the needs of the teachers and children in all ways reasonable and within the parameters of the position. -Where appropriate, participate in all activities with campers, including specialty classes, free swim, camp meetings and cheers, etc. -Facilitate activities by taking an active role in facilitating a variety of games, sports, arts & crafts, etc. -Provide conflict-management mentoring to students. -Respond to parent and children concerns in an effective, professional manner. -Abide by the guidelines for expectations, behavior and attitude set forth by Summer Program Director, Mikki Frazier. - 5105311300 x2500

43 Hoops Peak Performance Basketball Camp PM ONLY - Carver Community Gym
AFTERNOON SESSION ONLY (12:45pm - 3:30pm) Camps are co-ed, 4th - 8th grades (based on the 2016-17 school year). This all day camp is designed for the serious basketball player who wants to make a school or travel team, move up a level on a travel team, or firm up their spot on an existing team. This camp is designed to prepare you for tryouts by giving you the skills and confidence to perform at your highest level. Each day a peak performance discussion topic will be covered to give the campers the insights they need to stay healthy, focused, and confident. Topics will include nutrition, conditioning and stretching, as well as tips on how to deal with the mental side of competitive basketball. Scrimmages will be used daily so that participants can utilize the skills theyve learned. These camps will be conducted by the professional training staff of the 43 Hoops Basketball Academy. Player to trainer ratio will be 8:1 or less. The campers will build with something different every day in the Makerspace, including Legos, littleBits, Knex, Straws and cardboard. Depending on the product used to build, the children will bring either their creation or a picture of what they built home with them. Although the emphasis will be on building from their imagination, there will be different prompts each day, such as to build an animal or a piece of furniture.
