LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Hitting/Base-Running Camp Team Registration - Pine Bluff, AR (Taylor Field)
PRO-DAY Baseball Hitting/Base-Running Camp will be held on Saturday, February 20th at Historical Taylor Field. The Camp will be held from 9 am - 12 noon for ages 8-15 years of age. Incase of inclement weather, the clinic will be moved into the Indoor Facility at the Stadium. Participants will get to hear instruction on proper hitting techniques and to help improve ones swing from a staff that has been involved in professional baseball on all levels. Since 1989, PRO-DAY Baseball has been teaching young players the finer points of the game, have sent hundreds of players into professional baseball, along with hundreds and hundreds of others have went on to receive baseball scholarships to colleges/universities across the country. Players need to register in advance, the camp is "Limited". Proceeds will benefit the John Gross Memorial Scholarship, which is given to a high school senior each year that plans to go off to college to play baseball and continue their education. 888-224-6150

After lunch, families come back together, for swimming, jamming, playing games, and a series of great classes for all. Sports Camp week 2- Flag Football - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of flag football camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills of football such as passing, punting, kicking and defense. Agility and hand-eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of flag football camp will focus on the basic rules of the game such as flag guarding, off sides , false start and passing interference, as well as the scoring system for football and the duties of each position. Additionally, modified games of flag football will be played during the third hour. As the skills of each child advance over the course of the week, the third hour will consist of more realistic game-like situations. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! Thursday Field Tri ps ! Jr. Robotics Engineer - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers learn robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™. Our young creators build snapping alligators, race cars, talking birds, and spinning robots, attach sensors and motors, and then program their creations with the WeDo visual drag-and-drop programming software. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply "snapping bricks together," campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Campers will also complete a small LEGO® project that they will be able to take home. 805-570-1988

Semester-long technique classes are designed to give beginning dancers an opportunity to learn foundational skills in ballet, tap and jazz dance. All students perform in demonstrations or recitals held in conjunction with CHAW-wide performance festivals at the end of each session.
