Trivia Night for Jacaranda Youth Camp - Moline, IL
The Republican Women of Rock Island County are sponsoring a fun trivia night for the benifit of the Jacaranda Youth Camp, a basketball camp that will be taking place later this year in Nairobi, Kenya! More information can be found at this link. www.gofundme.com/nairobibasketball The evenet will be held at MGT New Hope in Moline, 2305 7th Ave at 6:30 on Saturday, June 11th. Please come out and support not only the team going to the Jacaranda Community (http://jacarandacommunity.com/) but also the RWRICo as we get the priveledge of blessing another community! A seat is $10 per person or commit to a whole table for $65 (if booked ahead)! Please RSVP to garuntee a spot. We have 14 tables available. There will be a bake sale table as well! Spring Body Checking (Walpole) Ages 11-14 - Rodman Arena
May 2,9,16,23,30 -- June 6. Intro to body checking is a 6-week camp focused on: All Key Elements of Power Skating Intro to Body Checking Safe and Strong Body Positioning Puck Possession Its vital that young hockey players are fully prepared when entering the age levels where body checking and increased body contact are legal. Size and strength play a limited role if players are properly trained on body position, angles, correct posture, etc. Power skating will be the focus of the first 30 minutes -- then the players will be split by level. Pee Wee will focus on body position and puck protection. Bantam will focus on body checking and hitting. Your young hockey player will be ready for the next level after this camp. 617-710-8129
