Winter in the Wild: Furs & Feathers (Youth Groups Only) - Hull, IL
Exclusive for Non-Profit Youth Groups! Registration limited to first 30 youth Become a GC wildlife detective while on school vacation! Come to Gardner Camp for hands-on learning about wildlife and animals of all kinds. Nationally renowned World Bird Sanctuary will be at GC to present a live animal program where you will experience an up-close view of animals from all kingdoms. After learning about the different types of animals and the signs that animals leave behind, participants will test their investigation skills solving a mystery and go on a tracking adventure, weather permitting. Participants will also walk away with their very own handmade wildlife tracks t-shirt. Within this program, there is also a giveback opportunity to help World Bird Sanctuary. Teen Camp Service Project - Beautify Chinatown! - undefined, undefined
It's that time of year again!This is the first in our series of Teen Camp service projects for those of you who may need financial assistance in order to go to camp. You must complete this project if you're going to need a half or full scholarship. Don't know if you need a scholarship? Well, even if you have an inkling that you might need one, you should be there. But this project is also open to all, so if you just want to help out, join us! The project will involve cleaning out and sprucing up the public planters along Wentworth Avenue and Cermak Road in Chinatown. The project will begin at 9 AM and end around 1 PM. 2nd Annual Summer Youth Camp - Manteno, IL
We will be taking 20 young men ages 10 to 18 to Camp Shaw-was-nas-see for three days and two nights of fun, learning and relaxation. Activities included at this event are First Aid, Map & Compass Reading, Basketball, Swimming, Archery, Nature Trail Walks, Zip Lines, Strength and Endurance Training, Mens Rap, where on last year we talked about the detriments of gangs, drugs and violence, and much much more. All meals will be provided. Last year we paid $60 per person to go to this event but through the generous donations of our donors we didnt have to charge any of the families for their young men to participate in this event. We were also able to purchase our insuance and supplies through our donors. This year we have been given a discount $50 per camper and we are praying for the same support this year. This one day camp will feature live batting practice, infield and outfield instruction, baserunning, numerous skill drills. Players will be separated by age and skill level: 6-9 year olds and 10-13 year olds. In this program, you will work on developing skills and strengthening game performance so that you will have more success and fun on the playing field! Male and female swimmers (ages 8-18) of any ability level are welcome. It is highly recommended, but not required, that swimmers have competitive experience prior to attending. Camp space is available on a first come – first serve basis. A $150 non-refundable deposit for each session attended (applicable to the camp fee) and registration form or on-line registration record is required. An information packet is e-mailed with required forms upon completion of registration. Mt. Hood Session 1 - 14 & Older - Mt. Hood Academy House
Your daughter must be a 14 and older ski racer to participate in this camp. Session 1 at Keelys Ski Camp is seven days, three days on snow, one day off and then 3 days on. Summer is an opportune time to develop and improve technique, for this reason we emphasize drills each day of skiing. The first day focuses on free skiing and drills. Day 2 & 3 are more drills and gate training. Day 4 is OFF and we offer fun activities either in Hood River, rafting the Deschutes River, or a trip to Portland. Day 5,6 & 7 include more gate training, free skiing and drills. Day 7 is also the travel day. At Keelys Ski Camp many of the all female coaching staff are recently retired from the U. S. Ski Team or are still racing at the highest levels (Olympic, World Cup, Noram, NCAA and FIS).
