Pottery Camp w/Painting Studio, Ages 8-12 - The Yard School of Art At Montclair Art Museum
SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Painting Studio Session III: July 25 to August 5 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come. Much of this artwork will be displayed at the receptions in Leir Hall at the end of each session. Landscapes, portraits, still life objects, and paintings from MAMs permanent collection will inspire students. Campers will bring home unique paintings full of personal expression that are sure be treasured. Saber Academy: Beginning - The Evergreen School
Learn the code, live the code! Hone your skills! Students will learn techniques to safely wield a saber. The mind, the body, and the spirit will be challenged! Class lessons include meditation, yoga, fencing, and some elements of Parkour. As students learn these skills to have a chance to be chosen by a Knight, one must also craft their own saber. As such, each apprentice will design and build their own saber that is truly theirs to keep. Small power tools and soldering techniques will be taught so students may craft their own personal saber. Before being able to take the Advanced Saber Academy Class, your child should have already completed one of our Beginning Saber Academy classes (formerly known as Jedi Academy). 206-957-1533

3D Printing and Stop-Motion Animation (24405A) - Cary Academy
Be your own stop-motion animator and director. Learn the ins and outs of stop-motion animation, filming, and 3D printing technology. Work as a team to choose your characters, write your script, build your set with the help of 3D printing technology, and film your movie. Campers will take a field trip to BounceU and bring home a completed movie at the end of the week. 919-677-7839

Leap into the land of leprechauns and pots of gold with an exciting week of Irish dance. Following in the footsteps of the stars of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, learn beginning soft shoe dances including the traditional jig and reel. Experience the legends and magic of Ireland through crafts, music, and storytelling.
