Kids Yoga Summer Day Camp - Lansing, MI
Yoga knows no age boundaries. It has benefits for the older and younger alike. Just B Yoga provides a quality yoga program for children that benefits the body and the mind. The camp is taught by Belinda Thurston and Monica Pino. Our classes teach children body awareness and positive self image while finding healthy movement exercises. Children will learn yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breath exercises), dharana and dhyana (focus and meditation). Is your teen always snapping away? Stealing your camera? Obsessed with capturing their surroundings? Foster their creative skills at our TEEN PHOTO CAMP this summer in our Crabapple studio! Students will need a digital camera and a *genuine* desire to learn more about photography. We will offer separate sessions for middle & high schoolers in June and July. We’ll have instruction, shooting practice and fun learning activities each day in an artistic, small group environment. Each student will need to bring their digital camera, a snack, water bottle & lunch each day. All other materials will be provided, including class notes & supplies. The camp will cover the following topics : - Photographer’s Tool Kit - Essentials of Exposure (Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO) - Camera Settings - Composition - Photography & Social Media - Lighting, Landscapes & People - Careers in Photography At the end of camp, we will have an open house showcasing our student's best work in the studio. Camp fee is $225 and is required to hold your student's place.

Half Day AM 9:30am – 12:30pm The parents and campers have spoken! 2015 was packed full of some amazing experiments and helped to build phenomenal memories. Did your camper miss out on an incredible camp? Maybe you were on vacation and couldnt attend? Maybe your camper just had SO much fun theyre begging to have one last hurrah (hopefully this is the reason)! While taking a break from school, spend some time at Spring Valley as spring approaches and the days become a little warmer. One day will be spent at the log cabin, cooking over an open fire. The other days will be spent exploring trails and looking for signs of animals. Well make crafts, play games, and learn about the animals at Spring Valley. Learn how to make awesome graphics, use digital art programs, and manipulate images! This course develops proficiency in operating the Mac as applied to learning the basic design tools of Adobe Creative Suites main programs: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students will learn how to use these software tools to digitally draw, paint, and collage unique works of computer art and design. Important Notice from UCAL: At the end of your registration process through the Active system, you will be offered a 30-day free trial of something called the Active Advantage program.
