(NEW) Wood Turning 1: Make a Baseball Bat (855 W16) - Former Adrian Training School
Learn to turn your own baseball bat. Students will learn the basics of wood spindle turning. Learn safe shop practices and procedures that will make woodturning safe and fun. Students will take home a baseball bat. Students will walk away with a basic understanding of how to operate and maintain a wood lathe and wood turning tools. Students will be allowed open studio time on Sundays during the week of class. On this day, students are welcome to come to the shop and use the tools to catch up and refine the classroom project. This is the registration for the Jr. Tiger overnighters plus the pitching day camp. Here your camper will check-in the morning of June 13th and participate in a pitching day camp hosted by Doug Gillis. A time will be determined closer to the camp date. 573-882-3942
Lacrosse (girls) - Seattle Preparatory School
Seattle Preps girls lacrosse camp will be a great opportunity for 6-9th grade players of all abilities to build strong fundamental skills, learn strategy, gain confidence on the field and have fun. The camp will immerse each player into a focused and fast paced environment to maximize improvement. Skills that will be emphasized include, passing and catching, shooting, ground balls, draws, offensive and defensive strategy, midfield transition and goalie play. The camp will be hosted by Prep Varsity Coach and former collegiate player, Lyndsey Gillis. Lyndsey teaches in Preps Arts department during the academic year, while also directing the womens Seattle Starz Club Lacrosse Program year-round. She will be joined by additional Prep Girls Lacrosse coaching staff, former DI-DIII collegiate players, who will provide top level instruction. 2063240400.0

5 Week Session Your artist will create five individual canvas paintings! We will explore themes such as bugs, flowers, and the beach all while learning acrylic painting techniques. Aprons will be provided, but please be aware that our artist quality paint does stain. NOTES: 1. Please pack a small PEANUT FREE snack for your child. We will have a 15 min snack break before class starts. 2. After school, students will be dismissed via announcements to the designated area or classroom. If students do not show we will contact the front office and the parent/guardian to make sure there is a reason for your childs absence. **Please remind your child they have Club Scientific or KidzArt in the morning so they do not forget where to go that day after school. 3. -- Pick up is at 5:00 pm * Pick up will be out front of the school or in the front entry area. * You will need to sign your child out at pick up. Working in small teams, campers understand how scientific investigation and reasoning allows them to use critical thinking and problem solving to make informed decisions and draw conclusions by designing models that represents how something works or looks that cannot be seen. Through project-based activities, students skills are enhanced across science, engineering, technology, and coding.
