UKSA (United Kingdom Soccer Association) is a class designed for children who are ready for more of a challenge. The curriculum is designed to build fundamental skills such as balance, coordination and ball skills. Our fast-paced, fun exposure to the most popular sport in the world opens up your kids minds. Classes focus on foot-eye coordination, balance, dribbling, shooting, passing and the basic fundamentals of soccer. Our classes will also introduce the concepts of teamwork and cooperation. Our main goal is to provide a fun and comfortable environment for your child to learn. To ensure players develop a love for the beautiful game, we make sure it is run in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Practices are geared towards individual skill and coordination development. Winter in the Wild: Furs & Feathers (Youth Groups Only) - Hull, IL
Exclusive for Non-Profit Youth Groups! Registration limited to first 30 youth Become a GC wildlife detective while on school vacation! Come to Gardner Camp for hands-on learning about wildlife and animals of all kinds. Nationally renowned World Bird Sanctuary will be at GC to present a live animal program where you will experience an up-close view of animals from all kingdoms. After learning about the different types of animals and the signs that animals leave behind, participants will test their investigation skills solving a mystery and go on a tracking adventure, weather permitting. Participants will also walk away with their very own handmade wildlife tracks t-shirt. Within this program, there is also a giveback opportunity to help World Bird Sanctuary. For an aspiring artist like yourself, getting your first piece of artwork published is one of the greatest thrills and is an impressive addition to your portfolio. Work with a local publication to create an illustration for an upcoming issue. Every participant will create their own illustration and at least one drawing will be chosen by the magazine to get published and printed. Grades 1-3 This is the camp for your child if they have little or no experience playing lacrosse. Campers enjoy a fun week of skill-building activities designed to improve stick handling, cradling, passing, shooting and defensive skills. All programs are co-ed, non-contact and skill-based. Students construct their own reality! The Geometers Sketchpad computer software provides opportunity to explore the world of Geometry through dynamic constructions. Children literally build their own mathematical system using simple tools… right on the computer. It takes the compass and straightedge, used years ago, to a whole new level!
