(2016 AKA SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day. In a nutshell: You will have the opportunity to select a minimum of 8 weeks (out of 12) for the 2016 Summer SOP program. 8 Week - Full Summer Speed of Play Program = $1,230 $165/week includes Field Trip each week ($1,320) 2 Field Trips are comped free of charge (-$90) (Individual week rate = $165) (Individual week rate with NO Field Trip = $120) If participants decide they do not want to attend a particular Field Trip, we will simply deduct and... 651-447-2454

February Visit & Info Session - Wheatley Heights, NY
A Usdan Visit and Information Session is an excellent way to learn about our many summer programs and what makes them both fun and educational. We begin with a guided walk through campus, introducing the music, art, dance, theater, writing, chess, nature and recreation departments. Our administrative leadership will share a few ideas about what shapes the Usdan program, from where we draw our inspiration, and what makes a summer at Usdan unlike any other. We will explain the enrollment process, and you will be given a chance to talk in small groups, or individually, with our knowledgeable team of arts faculty and staff members. We end the visit with a self-guided walk and exploration of the grounds. Hey, I like my house.. but I like yours more. Think Ill take it! Yep, thats a hermit crab for you - always taking your stuff! Lets capture a few of them and see what shells they prefer and why. Does a hermit prefer a sturdy fortress of a shell or a light easy-to-run with shell? Well track them by their trails and see where they go. Then of course, we have to build our own houses - light or sturdy- and protect them from other marauding hermits.
