Yes, boys will boys and that's why this camp experience was tailor made for our two pre-teens. It seems like they never run out of energy and this was the perfect environment to keep them busy. I also very much liked the ability to check in and see how they were progressing. This Spring the Vermont People’s Convention will bring hundreds of people together as a critical step in building a unified movement for healthy communities and a just society. On April 30 & May 1st at Montpelier High School, individuals and organizations working for disability rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, climate justice and labor unions will come together for a weekend to share, learn and take action together. The organizers of the convention are working hard to make this an intergenerational event with a parallel Youth Activism Summit for teens, and a Kid’s Camp for children 12 and under. To make lasting and far reaching change we need the participation of Grandparents, Parents and their Children! The Kid’s Camp at the People’s Convention will not only provide quality childcare, but will be a fun space for kids to learn about and participate in creating a more just and vibrant world. Join us as we learn how to create wonderful creatures using a variety of fun art materials. We will work on different surfaces and also with air dry clay in 3-D. Discover how dragons got their fiery reputation, create your own creature puppet, and learn some special art tricks that will help you draw anything you can imagine! Campers will also learn about the ancient Oviraptor, the artist Marc Chagal while they create their very own mythical masterpiece to bring home! Its all about color and imagination this session, which will explore artwork by famous Modern and Post Modern masters like Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso. These artists experimented with depicting the world using fantastic colors, and a bold and expressive style of brushwork. We will experience color in a whole new way while working in fine art materials, found objects, collage, printmaking, and more! Campers will be inspired to create their own wild and wonderful masterpieces. Parents please note for those of you looking to sign up for the PGA Junior Golf League, you must do that on pgajlg.com. The PGA Junior Golf League is a separate entity. The Fox Den Junior Golf League is designed for junior golfers between the ages of 10 & 17 who are eager to take their abilities onto the golf course. Schedule consists of (7) nine hole rounds of golf starting at approximately 2pm every Tuesday.Prior to the 9 holes of golf students will receive instruction, participate in competitions, and practice/warm up.
