What Are the Activities like at Summer Camp?
The whole point of summer programs is to keep youth busy. Thus, most kids wake up and have breakfast by 8am. Traditional activities include arts and crafts, sports, swimming and boating. There are groups that offer specialized or advanced activities like archery, horseback riding, and sailing. An activity like horseback riding may have an additional cost or require that youth come to camp with special equipment and clothing.
Specialty camps have specific classes or activities linked to their mission. For example, academic programs will include classes, religious camps will have Bible study, and leadership-focused programs may have public speaking sessions....

Spring Break Outdoor Fun Camp - Spring 15-16 - Marion County Parks and Recreation
A week of outdoor fun with a variety of recreation activities that may include nature exploration, hiking, kayaking (age relevant), fishing, crafts, etc. Before-and-after camp care (7:30 - 8 am and 5 - 5:30 pm) included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Program refund requests must be received in writing 14 days in advance of the scheduled program date. Granted refunds will be less the Active Net assessed administration fee(s). Any cancellation made within 14 days will forfeit any and all fees paid. Refunds are not available for programs less than $10. Participant should wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a non-perishable lunch. Drivers Education - Bolles San Jose Campus
This course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of actual driving time, and 12 hours of "in-car" observation. The first two weeks will consist of classroom instruction from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Athletic Conference room. Students will be asked to choose a driving session to comply with state requirements. There are two sessions to choose from, with no more than 9 allowed per session. Session I: June 27 - July 8 Session II: July 11 - July 21 All students must attend this segment to comply with State of Florida requirements. Before the students actual driving session, the student must have at least a restricted license. Within each driving session, there will be a driving group that will drive for an hour and a half each day for the two-week period. Similar driving experience will help determine the composition of each group. Students successfully completing this course will receive a Bolles certificate that may qualify them for an insurance discount. 904-256-5071

Full Day Enrollment 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Morning Only (9:00am-Noon) Film Camp - Lets make a movie! This week we will write, act and film our own movie and music video! The videos will be featured on the Arts Center Website and the short film submitted into the Cucalorus Festival! Afternoon Only (1:00 - 4:00 pm) Orange St. Pottery Camp – Our 2nd Summer of Pottery! Campers will learn the basics of ceramics in this afternoon camp! All campers will walk away with their very own completed piece of pottery. Supply fee of $10.
