This course is taught by veteran Head-Royce Math Teacher Chris Davies A U.C. Certified equivalent of academic year Algebra II taught in an intensive six-week format. Top-performing Head-Royce students may use the course to accelerate into Pre-calculus pending departmental approval. Other purposes for taking this course include reviewing and previewing Algebra II as needed. (As with all summer for-credit courses, students may choose to audit this course or proceed on a for-credit basis.) Textbooks will be loaned to the students, but students must provide their own graphing calculator (Head-Royce uses the TI84 or TI83). Prerequisite: Algebra 1 and Geometry, minimum C grade. Teens, you are invited to join us the Winter Teen Camp! This year’s theme is “authentic” and we will be focusing on how to live authentically as children of our Creator. Our culture is talking a lot about what it means to be “true”, “real”, and “you”. What does it mean to really live as were made to live? How can we embrace God’s vision for our lives and fight against the pull to just go with the flow? Our prayer is that your teenagers will return home with more passion to live for God than ever before. It is our desire that any teen that would like to join us for the Winter Teen Camp is able to. With this in mind, our early bird rate is only $50.00 for those who register by December 1st. After December 1st the cost is $75. Our event will take place at Living Faith Christian Church in Warwick, Rhode Island. Our dates for this three-day event are Wednesday, December 28 to Friday, December 30, 2016. BodyRite Training Teen Sport Camp - Jamesport, NY
We are excited to announce that BodyRite will be hosting a series of teen athletic camp programs this summer. Many young athletes are looking to improve their abilities in the off season and we believe BodyRite Teens Sport Camp will help enhance athletic skills and performance by using simple methods and sound science. The camp will run three separate sessions in two week sessions, starting July 11th from 11am to 2pm. The best part of the camp, is that no matter what ability level, the camper will progress. Whether an athlete or not, this camp is designed to help any teen interested in working out learn the basics of proper movement, strength training, and sound nutrition. We welcome all abilities ages 13 through 18. Coupling intelligent programming with sport specific nutrition, we will teach the athlete or interested fitness enthusiast how to move better for their sport, and how to fuel thier bodies properly for optimal performance.

Sign up for an exciting week of science exploration with two of your favorite teachers! We will be exploring weather, magnets, force, motion, and forensics! We will be using everyday materials to create projects and will be learning why and how things work. Bring an open mind and a creative brain as we make projects that will soar, puzzle, fly, and EXPLODE!! If so, the MPA Homework Lab is the place for them! The MPA Homework Lab will take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:10pm to 4:30pm in Barker 13. The Lab will offer a quiet place where students can complete homework, ask questions, work on projects, or just study for quizzes and tests. Your childs first experience with tennis will be great fun-- Coach Joce- lyn Rock will be using slower-moving and lower-bouncing balls as well as using a smaller court size with lower net. Her goal is to help young children gain confidence in tennis faster and realize the joy of sports. We will work on hand-eye coordination, tennis strokes, and cooperative play.
