Total Softball Experience I - UT Softball Field
This camp is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of every aspect of the game. It includes skill work, scrimmaging and classroom sessions on the recruiting process, the student-athlete, nutrition and mental game. The camp provides young athletes with an exclusive insight into the Texas softball program, creating an experience that will last a lifetime. There will be live and controlled scrimmages allowing them the chance to apply the Longhorns system of success to their own game. This camp is for ages 8-12 years old. 512-232-2046
August 1-4: Secret Language of Birds (Ages 5-7) - Mountain Kids!
Birds are beautiful and expressive animals that we can see and hear daily. Learning bird language opens up a whole new way of understanding our forests and what is happening around us. We will look for birds in the wild and visit the Wildlife Center for an educational program and close-up view of some beautiful raptors and other birds and mammals. Join us for a full day art camp and learn about the fundamentals of digital photography, including composition, lighting, perspective, contrast, color, portraiture and motion, while you are out shooting in the field. Each morning, kids will take photographs in and around Mitchell Park and one to two field trips will be scheduled. In the afternoons, camp will take place in the computer lab at Mitchell Park Community Center, where kids will use PhotoshopTM to enhance, manipulate and finish digital images.
