Never been to camp before? Or do you want to get a second or third taste of camp before staying for a full week? This is a great session for elementary children ages 7 – 8 — a four day/three night experience that provides a taste of all the fun of swimming, hiking, crafts, pond zip line, hiking to the fire tower and more! SC2016: Ferocious Whelk Week - Sundial
Ok, you arent thinking shells are ferocious are you? Youre thinking theyre beautiful and graceful? Well lightning whelks are beautiful and ferocious. Theyre also pretty fascinating! Lets snip open a lightning whelk egg case (youve probably seen one but didnt know what it was) and look at the hundreds of tiny whelks and the way they grow in a spiral. Lets do some spiralling art and dig down in the sand and pump water out the way whelks do. And lets look at how these creatures hunt! And for all you lefties out there, this is your shell! These whelks open to the left side while most of the other shells around here open to the right! (239) 472-8585
SAA Cheer Stars - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Dance, tumble & cheer your way into the school year! This is an introduction to basics class developed to strengthen skills for aspiring cheerleaders, dancers, and gymnasts. Each class will cover tumbling skills, build proper jump shapes, and strengthen core & leg muscles. Students will be introduced to turning and leaping, and mini trampoline fundamentals. Cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, and handsprings are all basics to which dancers, cheerleaders, and gymnasts aspire. Dance basics will be introduced as girls learn to turn and leap with proper technique. Participation awards will be given to everyone on our show off day May 18th, the last 30 minutes of class.
