Camp Big Cat will be a fun but intense and focused goalkeeping specific camp which will accelerate the goalkeepers development. This camp will focus on a variety of goalkeeping specific areas including: handling, diving, crosses, distribution, breakaways and footwork. During camp there will be time spent viewing demonstrations and participating in questions/answer sessions. Our teenagers will participate in a 4-H service project “Chemo Kits” for local individuals suffering from cancer. They will also learn how to apply for 4H scholarships and so much more.

Summer Camp Registration will begin Saturday March 21st at 10AM. Sign up for CAMPS including LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM with the City and County of San Fransisco. This can be done in one of 3 ways: 1. Online at www.sfreconline.org (view entire summer camp 2015 activity guide here) 2. at McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park, 501 Stanyan Street (@ Fell) (415) 831-6800. 3. At any neighboring registration site, such as Hamilton Recreation Center. 1900 Geary Blvd (@ Steiner) ***Please make sure you sign up for the correct swim lesson level for your child. If you sign up for the wrong level it could result in a withdrawal without refund for the class. If you are unsure of what level you should be signing up for please contact Assistant Supervisor Tracy Newman (Ford) at Hamilton Aquatic Center (415) 292-2008 and set up a time to have your child tested. We limit all students to a total of two classes for the season, both of which must be of the same level. These classes should also not be back to back lessons due health, safety, and performance reasons. Thank you.

How does stuff break? To answer this question, students investigate how stuff is made and in doing so, will break stuff! Destructive and nondestructive tests will be conducted to investigate catastrophic failures such as bridge collapse, airplane structural failure, containers that leak, pipes that burst, and electrical failures. Advances in materials are at the core of significant technological advances, and we are in a materials revolution today! Students experience a hands-on introduction to materials science, engineering, and technology, joining researchers who push boundaries further than ever before, using biology, chemistry and physics to expand our technological frontiers. Minimum 10 students. PREREQUISITE: prerequisite Science Levels 1 and 2 CREDIT: Semester upper course credit in Science 615-383-0661
