Jedi Engineering using LEGO - Spring Break Camp - Kedron Fieldhouse
Jedi Engineering Young Jedi will explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right in front of them. Defeat the Empire by designing and refining LEGO X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators and defense turrets. Shoot, jump, run and score your way to a fun summer camp experience. This camp is a fun for all ages! Each week we will play a variety of outdoor sports designed to advance basic skills and knowledge of all sports activities for the campers. This class also helps campers to learn good sportsmanship while learning about the games, and score of the sport. Theres also indoor board games they get to play and learn from. Have your child bring a friend and tell them to get ready to play! Ocean Explorers (Week 3 AM) - Lore & Lures - NESS
Have fun learning about fish and fishing while using maps, engineering, fisheries research, and innovative design while constructing a fishing rig. Use dip nets, a cast net, rod & reel, and fish traps to provide background for biological observations. Look to the past to explore the ocean lore of mermaids, sea monsters, and giant squid as well as glacial and fresh water influence. Great Outdoors - EcoAdventures
Great Outdoors June 27th-July 1st 9am – 4pm (Ages 5 – 11) Monday – Friday Its back to nature in this camp and we mean literally! If it has to do with nature and the great outdoors we are all over it! These days kids seem to be losing touch with nature, so in this camp we are going to bring them back to the wild side. Kids will leave civilization behind as we head out into the great unknown to learn all about nature and surviving the outdoors. Campers will get the ins and outs of navigating trails, compass use, telling time by the sun, identify animal tracks, interact daily with animals, make fossils, build a drift shelter, survival skills, make Native American crafts, outdoor cooking (more than just smores) and so much more. By the end of camp you might not get your kid to come back into the house! Pint sized survivalist fun is on order for this camp on the Wild Side!
