Are you concerned that your child may develop a case of summer slide or think year round school is an intelligent idea? This two-week program will allow your child to prepare for success in the following school year. The course is taught by Sandra Schwartz, who holds a Bachelors in Education with a minor in Mathematics and an M.Ed., and has been working in the North Merrick UFSD since 2008. Sandra currently teaches Computer and Technology at Camp Avenue School. Students are invited to take part in a comprehensive class designed to sharpen their skills by offering an ideal balance of instruction in math and creative writing to assist students in mastering these subjects. Students practice their math skills and learn new ones while having fun by engaging in skill building and problem-solving math games and activities. In addition, students are challenged to expand their creative writing boundaries and strengthen their composition skills. Teen Bring a Friend Weekend - De Leon Springs, FL
For youngsters in grades 5 through 10. Campers are allowed to bring a friend of the same sex and approximate age if they so choose. This weekend program allows for interactions amongst peer groups and a learning experience for those campers without diabetes. The Cal State Fullerton Womens soccer team along with the Fullerton Futbol Academy is excited to announce the return our youth soccer camp held on campus here at Cal State Fullerton. This will be a fun filled week of soccer development where every camper will learn the necessary skills to excel in the sport. The camps will provide campers the opportunity to train with the Fullerton coaching staff as well as Cal State Fullerton college soccer players from the mens and womens programs This camp is meant for competitive or recreational players between the ages of 5-12. Farm to Table - Farm Store
Farm to Table campers will work in teams throughout the week to create a variety of dishes. Their focus will be on delicious and healthy snacks, meals, and treats that highlight the produce grown at Greenacres. Campers will learn about new ingredients and review techniques relevant to the recipes they make each day, but will also have plenty of opportunities to express their creativity and customize their creations. Outside the kitchen, they will harvest some of their ingredients, explore the gardens and fields, and interact with the producers. Campers will take home an apron as well as a binder of recipes and information at the end of the week. Please note any dietary restrictions when registering.
