High School Session: 9:00 am to 11:30 am daily. High School session will be run as collegiate practice with intense, position specific instruction. Participants must be in grades 9 to 12 as of the 2015-2016 school year. On behalf of Coach Bill Dwan, Associate Head Coach of Hopkins and Coach Matt Dwan, Asistant Coach, Loyola Mens Lacrosse - we are excited to partner with the Lambert High School Lacrosse Program to host our 2016 Elite Lax Camp! Due to NCAA Regulations, we are prohibited from advertising current players that will be working at the camp. The Elite Lax Camp features the TOP athletes at each position and ensure a player to coach ratio of 14 to 1 to maximize instruction. Learn from current collegiate players at the TOP of their game!! About Elite Lax Camp: Elite Lacrosse Camp to offer well-rounded lacrosse instruction tailored for all playing levels entwined with important lifes lessons and the significance of education and dedication. CAMP DETAILS Fractured Fairy Tales Week In our Fractured Fairytale world, students will learn how to adapt traditional fairytales using unexpected characterization, modified points of view and bizarre plot development. Working as an ensemble well then dramatize our new fractured fairy tale using music and movement. Working alongside one of our professional teaching artists students will also play fun theater games and learn how to develop characters for the stage. This camp aims to cultivate creativity and give participants experience of creating their very own theater piece. Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Musical Theater Week Thank you for the music! In this camp, students will have fun exploring their own personal voices through songs and dances from various musicals! In addition to drama and improv games that foster theater skills in creativity, self-expression and teamwork, campers will create their own show that incorporates songs from their favorite musicals. AccelerateKIDs Coding Jr. Camp introduces campers to the visual programming language M.I.T. Scratch. Campers will learn the basic principles behind computer programming. Over the course of the week students will program four games - Cat & Mouse, a maze game and more. Each programming lesson builds upon itself and reinforces the basic concepts learned in camp. Using their knowledge learned over the course, campers will choose one of their games to edit and present on the final day of camp. Each camper will leave camp with an AccelerateKID T-shirt. Camp - Fun in the Sun Wk 3: 4-7 yrs old 7/11-7/15 - Recreation-D.P.S.
The Recreation Department is once again offering one-week day camps that will be held at Lessenger Elementary (30150 Campbell). Campers are asked to wear sneakers/tennis shoes (no sandals, flip-flops or open toe shoes) each day and to bring their own sack lunch (including beverages) unless otherwise noted. Registration fee includes all trips, camp t-shirt, craft and supplies and snacks. For $10 drop your child off at 7:30 am or pick your child up at 4:30 pm, both options for only $20!
