Focus and fun is the premise behind our children's day camp run by qualified staff from Enshin Karate and Radiant Beginnings Yoga. Our martial arts class, is taught by 4 time world champion Mike Ninomiya and his lovely wife Diana Ninomiya. Both of whom have been certified to teach in Denver Public Schools in the Radiant Beginnings enrichment program. We have a wide variety of activities involved besides martial arts and yoga; West African drumming and chess workshops are two other focuses mixed into this camp designed to bring fun, focus and stress management in the mind body realm. The U.P. Python Golf Team is the perfect vehicle to introduce kids to the game of golf. Fun, friends and positive coaching are the key elements along with spending the majority of all practice time on the golf course. NTPGA Team Golf Tournaments will provide fun opportunities to compete in tournaments that will be "scaled down" to fit the beginning golfers abilities. The team will practice on Wednesdays from 4:15-5:30pm at Watters Creek and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:45 at Keeton Park. ***Please note the two different practice locations. We will explore a wide variety of artists, from William Blake (poet/artist) and Art Blakey (jazz drummer) to Chuck D (activist, emcee, author) and David Lynch (film maker). We will also harness alternate and augmented reality technology to create an interactive installation on NCSSMs campus. Goals: Participants will understand the role of the rebel and how the rebels outsider perspective creates cultural change.
