This was the first summer my boy went to Camp Skyline and I can promise you it won't be his last! He made some great friends that he's still chatting with on Facebook. And now he wants his own horse. Is your teen bored already? Sign him/her up for our week long beginning sewing boot camp running Monday through Friday, July 19 through 22 from 10 am to 2 pm daily. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine if you have one, and basic sewing supplies. A list of fabrics and notions will be sent to you once you have registered. Cost is $100. Hotspot Dance Studio offers a yearly Summer Camp that will make sure your son or daughter not only has a safe place to enjoy their summer vacation and be part of activies, but also a place where they will be learning new skills related to performance arts. Hotspot Summer Camp Program will begin Monday June 14th and end August 5th of 2016. Hotspot takes campers to two field trips a week as well as bringing in teachers of all dance styles to do activities! Dancers have the option of doing an end of Summer dance showcase when camp ends. The Grunch - A Musical Theater Production Camp! Ages: 3rd - 8th Grade in the Fall of 2016 Join the cast of this 1-hour musical which will perform 2 shows at the Numerica Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 24 at 2:00 and 7:00 PM. Inspired by The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; hell steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens. Specialized sports program utilizing biometric exercises that will promote the development of gross motor skills, coordination and balance. Fantastic 6 HERO Sports for 6 weeks! We hold a very special awards ceremony for every HERO once a session is completed. Every kid graduates from a session as a HERO and goes home with a certificate of achievement that they can show off wherever they please. We not only teach sports fundamentals, we also teach the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. Do not register for this class unless you are a current Academy student from fall 2015 ) This semester we focus on creating a production from beginning to end ( including set design, production coordination, marketing. outreach, etc. ) This course will also give the acting students a chance to channel some of the acting skills they learned into their character in the show. ***We will be performing one acts titled : " The Waiting Room" and " The Other Room" These performances will be open to the public. Please remember our tech week will be May 31st-June 2nd, from 2pm until 9pm each day Eveyone must attend each day of Tech rehearsal.
