The Middle Blocker camp will be a camp that focuses on blocking, transitioning, and attacking from the Middle Blocker position. There will be a full progression of each skill and how they are used in gameplay throughout a match. Middle Blockers will also combine with setters to work on the connection with a live set. We will work on all the different types of sets that a Middle Blocker hits along the net. Campers will receive a T‐Shirt. 859-233-8300

I was eager to enroll at Camp Newaygo for one important reason: we could all share the summer fun as a family. Sure it's important for the kids to have their own time but when we can make memories (and plenty of crafts!) together as a family then it makes our vacation all the better. (T) 2016 Youth Leaders Summit (T) - Shepherdsville, KY
Tentatively scheduled for 29-31 January 2016, the Youth Leaders Summit, or YLS, is a consolidated Troop JLT that is conducted annually - the 2016 event will take place at Camp Crooked Creek. YLS should be attended by youth in the rank of 2nd Class or above and be newly elected leaders, or expected to become leaders within their troop. The training emphasizes YOUTH leadership of a troop, the Patrol Method, youth leadership positions and duties, basic problem solving and other principles of youth leading youth. Class size is limited to 30 Scouts, so be sure to register early!
Teen Photo Camp - Seattle, WA
Teens Camp (ages 13-18) If your teen is looking for a fun way to spend their summer, this is it! Students wil learn beginner photography with Mirroless cameras that wil be provided to them. Creative techniques will also be introduced to help enhance their skills and imaginations! Students are required to bring their own SD card to each class. Class Schedule: 10-10:30- In class demo 10:30-11- walk to location 11-12:30- shooting on location 12:30-1- lunch 1- 1:30- walk back to classroom 1:30- 2- Printing best shots of the day Monday: Students will be introduced to their cameras and photography basics. After the presentation we will walk to the Space needle to work on composition assignments. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Tuesday: Today we will be going over aperture priority and depth of field. Class will head over to Lake Union. On the way back to class we will introduce bokeh and students will have the chance to try changing the shape of their bokeh in South Lake Union. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Wednesday: Our first introduction to shutter speeds will include an in class demo for stopping action. Explore all that science has to offer! This camp is full STEAM ahead -Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math- designed to inspire future innovators! Terrific Scientific aims to SPARK the excitement of young people, for SCIENCE, in a setting that allows them to explore, question, and experiment with fascinating facts, projects and activities. All lessons are designed to help with the development of scientific process skills such as observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, critical thinking, predicting, hypothesizing, sequencing and experimentation. Materials: A separate fee of $20 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp. Participants should bring a brown bag lunch, beverage and snack each day. Attire: Wear old/play clothes.
