This class is specially designed with teens who enjoy fashion. We will explore the many stages of everyday lives through fashion illustrations, beginning with the basic fashion figures (croquis) and color, using multiple mediums, including prints, fabric and textiles, students will imagine how they would dress for current and future life events, and also gain an understanding of the fashion industry, as well as the impact of technology on fashion. Through class discussions, books, films, and documentaries, students will gain a greater understanding of the fashion world and illustration as a form of self expression. REGULAR CAMP This years weekly themes and cultures of focus include: Melanesias Matchless Majesty, Argentinas Amazing Adventures, Zimbabwes Zesty Zambezi, and Cubas Captivating Coast. Campers will embark on a cultural journey that includes the exploration of nature, geography, music, history, foreign languages, art, science, math, exercise, sports, and literature. Sub-themes are incorporated daily to facilitate a fun and culturally stimulating camp experience. Campers also participate in specialty classes such as chess, cooking, and yoga.BEFORE & AFTER CAMP Before and After Campers will participate in organized games and activities. Winter Prospect Camp - Oosterbaan Field House
This camp is a college identification camp. Field players and goalkeepers will work directly with the University of Michigan Mens Soccer staff to experience the daily training environment of the U-M Mens Soccer program. The camp will consist of on-field technical training, small-sided and large-sided games, as well as a lecture regarding the recruiting process. Classes are Monday-Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Castle Creek.
