Although photography is the worlds newest art form, as a concept it was known by Aristotle. In this brief course we will review the evolution of photography from its beginnings to the digital cameras of today. Along the way, youll be introduced to some of the most influential individuals who played an important role leading to the creation of modern photography. We will discuss how painting influenced photography and how photography influenced painting. In just three sessions, well have a chance to see the oldest surviving photographs, Daguerreotypes, Silver Nitrate prints, early color photographs, modern pixel- based images and much more. My 16 year old daughter loved the digital summer art camp offered in Atlanta. She wants to go into Marketing in college. Digital marketing is the wave of the future, and she will be one step ahead by taking this introductory camp during the summer. She is already asking us to send her to camp again next summer.... Doulos Youth Winter Camp - Denton, TX
Keep it real this winter by joining Doulos Youth (7th-12th grade) for Crossroads' second annual Winter Camp! It’ll be a weekend packed FULL of awesome worship, life-changing messages, group games, and time to just hang out with your friends. There is a non-refundable deposit of $75 due at registration. Regular registration is $125 by October 31. If your student attends 80 percent of their connect group, they will be able to attend camp for only $100! All sign-ups are online. KHK: Wild West Camp - SD Discovery Center
This wild and western day camp features horses, horseback ridind, and ranch chores. A Western scavenger hunt will incorporate following directions, math and science clues to find hidden bounty. All campers will ride. Basic Horsemanship and safety will be taught. Campfire cooking skills will be included. Healthy snacks and lunch provided. This class is a crash course into the exciting world of stop motion! Students will discover how stop motion animations such as Wallace & Gromit and The Nightmare Before Christmas are created and explore the software, technology and theory behind them! Spacing, timing, acceleration of motion, project planning and execution will all be covered throughout the program, and use LEGO® to put each into practice. Every single class is hands-on and by the time the program is complete each student will leave with their own original stop motion animation!
