This Girl Scout Camp is nestled in nature’s paradise between meadows, woodlands and a beach area. My 11 year old daughter loves to participate in archery, swimming, kayaking, crafts, boating and hiking. She has developed a love for nature along with improved social skills. Back to School Boot Camp: Second and Third Grade CurriculumGet your mind and body fit for the school year with this unique experience. Join Mr. Chad Hamilton and Mr. Ben Spencer, both credentialed teachers, for their Back to School Boot Camp! The program combines academic tutoring and athletic activities. Reading, writing, and math skill building will be alternated with athletic activities to prepare incoming second, third, fourth, fifth & sixth graders. All curriculum will be aligned with Common Core Standards. Students will be given optional homework, needed literature and academic materials. Parents will be given an opportunity to share their childs needs prior to the camps introduction so curriculum can be individualized. Students will use the athletic activities and games to guide academic projects. Think calculating averages, graphing and sport related literature. Boot Campers will receive one-on-one and small group instruction! Armed with the power of magic you can do anything! Take a ride on a dragon and imagine you have magical powers. Build your own magic wand, compile a spell book and mix potions, all within the walls of our magical school of art. Exploring clay, drawing, painting, 3D construction and more, participants will complete an assortment of individual and group projects in each weeks theme, culminating in a showcase at the end of each camp, followed by the unveiling of an installation at our 9th annual Fall Out of Summer Arts Festival in September. 401-490-9475

CAMP THEME: CARNIVAL COOKING & GAMES Playing with your food is the theme of this camp! Kids will take a hands-on approach to cooking. A different dish will be prepared each day. The camp involves food inspired art, cooking games, cupcake decorating, movies, table manners and more! All campers will receive their own chefs hat and recipe cards. Get ready for some cooking fun! Please be sure to indicate on your registration form if your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Supplies: Campers should bring a beverage and snack and plenty of water each day. Lunch will be provided daily in camp. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
