Campers will have opportunities to learn about horses and equestrian safety, and they will experience riding. Campers will stay at Camp Mardela and travel offsite for riding activities. Activities may vary based on schedules and availability. In addition to Horse Camp activities, there will be time for traditional camp activities. Campers register on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and dismiss on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with a closing program. 410 479 2861

3 days 2 nights of fun filled horse chaos. Cooking out over fires, learning to care for our horses as well as working on our horsemanship skills in all disciplines of riding. As well as working on social skills, public speaking, and accountability. A good time is always had by all. So bring a tent (if you don't have one let us know), warm blankets, a pillow, and warm clothes, and join in on the experience.

Join us for a kid friendly introduction to cooking! Students will get kids excited about cooking and introduce basic cooking ideas like how to mea- sure, mix, knead, crack eggs, and make some simple savory and sweet creations. We hope to help kids begin to love helping out in the kitchen and getting involved with making their own food! 202-724-8950

Each day will have a new focus of how to tell a story while ensuring that all the elements are there and that any audience can understand. Imagination is a must! Attitude: A Prairie Kids Boot Camp - The Prairie School
Do you like to be active? Do you want to be more active? Are you looking for an alternative to an organized sport, but still want to be part of a team? Are you interested in keeping in shape for a fall sport? Most of all, do you want to have fun? Then this high-energy boot camp is for you! If, that is, you have the right attitude. -- This boot camp is designed specifically for developing young bodies and minds, with a fun (and safe) mixture of body weight exercises, running and cardio, partner and group exercises, games and obstacle courses. All movements will help build coordination, balance, and motivation. Stretching before and after exercise is emphasized, and mindfulness and yoga techniques will be integrated each day. (And did we mention the music?) -- All participants need is a good pair of tennis shoes, comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle, and a positive attitude! No other equipment necessary. Join us as we take art to This is the Place Park. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch pioneer-era architecture, gardens, and people in period costume. We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers, and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques while spending time outdoors and learning about Utahs history. We will provide all the supplies as well as a VAI t-shirt for all students.
