Summer Weekend Camping Trip - North Atlanta Christians - Catawa Falls
Summer Camping Trip! Come join is for the annnual weekend of fun in the woods! Catawa Falls Campground offers great streamside tent camping sites, cabins and fantastic waterfalls to explore. We will be hiking and exploring the area around that Campground. We will be 25minutes from Asheville, NC The cost will be roughly $10.00 per person per day of tent camping. The sites we will secure are right off the river! We will have a nearby pavillion to grill and cook. There are MANY cabins to choose from, the cabins have electricity but no running water. All showers will be at the bath house in the middlefo the campground. Those that want to paticipate in getting a cabin please let me know and we can firgure out the cost per person. Tennis and So Much More - Wheaton Indoor Tennis
Schools out, and its time to play! During the tennis portion of camp, kids with little or no tennis experience will play with the smaller rackets and softer balls of our "10 and Under Tennis" classes which will help them connect with the ball. They will really enjoy themselves while they learn the basic strokes and rules of tennis. Well also do some fun tennis drills and games that will teach moves and skills to use on the court. Older and more experienced players will be placed together to assure they are getting a good challenge with their friends and peers. When were not playing tennis, well take a hike on one of the great trails in Wheaton Regional Park, visit Brookside Nature Center and explore nature, and cool off at the South Germantown Splash Playground on Tuesdays. American University student teachers are looking for enthusiastic third graders who like challenges, mysteries, and problem solving missions. As part of an American University research project, School of Education professors have partnered with Janney Elementary School to test enduring understanding in reading as well as in mathematics in third grade students. During the sessions, third grade students will participate alongside our friends Poly and Gon in enriching activities and games in which they will be challenged to think outside the box by practicing problem solving and pattern identification skills. All lessons, activities, and games will be created and directed by American University student teachers for Janney third graders.
