Kids will gain knowledge and participate in Olympic Weightlifting, Strength Training, and Speed Training. Cost is $120 for both days or $75 for one day. This ensemble is intended for students with 1+ years of experience on a band instrument. Instruction will focus on introduction to and performance of jazz and associated forms of music. The prerequisite for Jazz Band is enrollment in Wind Ensemble or Concert Band or director approval. Performance opportunities will be balanced with the development of music skills. 206-524-7009

Students will learn how to play basic drum, guitar, bass and piano riffs to various lyric-appropriate (parent-approved) rock/pop songs of their choice. Classes will include ear training, learning to read music notation, instrumental techniques, viewing music video clips for inspiration, and more! No experience necessary, but welcomed! Instruments will be provided to share, but bring any that you have from home. Time will be allotted each day for a snack and water break.
