Week 6 - Charlottesville Waldorf School
The Charlottesville Waldorf Schools Summergarden has been designed to bring your children the rhythmical structure of a Waldorf Kindergarten that allows the imagination to unfold in free play, games, crafts and a variety of artistic activities. Each day will start in the cool of the morning in our beautifully landscaped outdoor play area, where sand, water, and swings are readily available. Everyone will have the opportunity to work in one of the school gardens. As the temperature rises, the children will move to our carefully designed and air-conditioned classrooms. Montessori Atrium Parent Toddler Group 18-36 Months The parent-toddler group meets once a week in the All Saints Montessori Toddler Atrium environment. Children accepted into the program are ages 18-36 months and must be accompanied by parent. Children need not be potty trained to be accepted into our program. Children explore activities of Practical Life, Sensorial and Language materials along with seasonal presentations of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd with the aid of a Montessori atrium guide. Parents observe and learn together with their children gaining insights into supporting their childs growth and development, nurturing the whole child. A Montessori book group, parenting support and exploration of creating a Montessori space in the home as an aid to the child are discussed. There are no refunds once the program begins. Camp - Fun in the Sun Wk 3: 4-7 yrs old 7/11-7/15 - Recreation-D.P.S.
The Recreation Department is once again offering one-week day camps that will be held at Lessenger Elementary (30150 Campbell). Campers are asked to wear sneakers/tennis shoes (no sandals, flip-flops or open toe shoes) each day and to bring their own sack lunch (including beverages) unless otherwise noted. Registration fee includes all trips, camp t-shirt, craft and supplies and snacks. For $10 drop your child off at 7:30 am or pick your child up at 4:30 pm, both options for only $20!
