Fall Softball Camp - Linton Youth League Sports Complex
We are pleased to announce a one day Fall Softball Camp open to players from 5 years of age to 8th grade. The camp will be held at the Linton Youth Complex on Saturday September 5th. This camp will be conducted by The Indiana Tribe coaches and staff and is open to everyone regardless of skill level and where a player lives. Players will be divided into age groups and we will focus on fundamental softball skills, game knowledge, and we will have fun doing it. Cost is $10/player and will include a lunch of a hot dog, chips and a drink. Players will be divided up in the afternoon for games and skills competitions. Camp times are from 9am-3pm. A separate instructional pitching time will be available from 4-6pm. Cost for the pitching clinic will be $5/player if you attended the camp or $10/player if the player is only attending the pitching clinic. We will focus on beginning pitching mechanics and drills. Ages 7 years to 8th grade are welcome. Registration is available the day of the event, but you are encouraged to pre-register via our Facebook Event post or by calling or texting Greg Elliott at 812.798.0174.

BOYS - 2nd - 4th Grade - Ignition Training Session - Bishop Kelley HS & Boise Valley Adventist School
May 2-24 -- 2 practices per week Mondays: 6:00 to 7:30 @ Bishop Kelly High School Tuesdays: 6:00 to 7:30 @ Boise Valley Adventist School Scrimmages: Tuesdays, May 10, 17, & 24 7:30 to 8:30 @ Boise Valley Adventist School -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ignition program is designed specifically for experienced basketball players in 2nd through 7th grades who are serious about putting in the hard work necessary to take their basketball game to the next level. This training program equips athletes with the fundamental skills they need to be ready for the competitive performance basketball arena. Focus is placed heavily on ball handling, personal offensive moves, shooting, defense, and conditioning. Athletes will also participate in Ignition scrimmages to put their skills to the test and highlight their improvement. A big part of competitive basketball preparation is developing the character qualities necessary to handle pressure and persevere. Our coaches are committed to growing each athletes character along with their athletic ability. The Ponte Vedra Inn and Club Junior philosophy defines a Long Term Athletic Development Approach. This development is laid out within our Junior camp offering focus on three areas: Fundamentals, Learn & Train to Play and Learn & Train to Compete. Within the Level 1 curriculum, students will focus on the basic fundamentals of the game and swing, short game analysis, life values and how they relate golf and entry level contests. **This class will be longer due to travel time for the bus. Students will leave here at 3:20pm, Class is from 3:45-4:45, the students will return to campus around 5:00pm. Coach Stone will accompany the students on the bus to and from their Golf Lesson** Transportation will be provided by The Bolles School to and from the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club Clubhouse. Fashion Design & Wearable Technology - Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta
Description: Generation Infocus invites tinkering girls and boys to participate in the fashion design/wearable technology STEAM studio to learn how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics all can be used to transform the things we wear. This design-based studio will immerse students in the mathematical concepts surrounding garment engineering and how circuitry can be incorporated into clothing to make them light up! Students will learn the basics of hand and machine sewing to be equipped to engage in garment construction challenges such as creating a superhero themed e-textile cuff. This is the rescheduled date for the class that was supposed to be on January 23rd, but had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. 404-525-5561
