Campers will learn the basics of Java using the software Greenfoot. Java is a computer programming language that is class-based, and object-oriented. Greenfoot teaches object orientation. Create ‘actors which live in ‘worlds to build games, simulations, and other graphical programs. Greenfoot is visual and interactive and is a great way to learning about real coding. Greenfoot aims to motivate learners quickly by providing easy access to animated graphics, sound and interaction. Our Annual Giving Campaign “Send a Kid to Camp” program provides scholarships for underserved, underprivileged, deserving kids to attend summer camp and participate in valuable outdoor education opportunities. Many children never have the opportunity to experience the magic of camp and it is our goal to ensure that every child has this opportunity. Camp helps kids to do better in school, lessening the detrimental effects of summer learning loss and builds invaluable self-confidence. 2016 Teen Winter Camp - Oxford, AL
We'll be traveling from ODBC to Trinity Baptist Church in Oxford, Alabama, for our retreat, and we will spend a day snow tubing on Friday at Stone Mountain, Georgia! Come for great preaching and a fun time connecting with other teens and the Lord! Space is limited on the bus, so register early! Cost is only $75 which covers travel, lodging, and snow tubing (bring additional money for one meal each day while we are traveling). Parents/guardians must sign a hold harmless agreement and provide emergency contact/medical information.

Apr 2016 Teen Clinic - GIRLS ONLY (Thu 5-6) - Eastlake Country Club
Series of four, 1-hour lessons for $140. Our teen clinics go beyond the basics of the golf swing. Emphasis is on the scoring part of the game: putting, chipping and pitching as well as full swing. Video analysis may be used to improve the swing. Rules and etiquette are also strongly emphasized. Intended for teens ages 13-17 (Minimum 4 students). PLEASE NOTE: There is a $3.95 non-refundable fee for registering online.
