With a name like Camp Thunderbird, how could you go wrong? Our son had such a wonderful time. The pictures of his water skiing are the best! He was also very excited about the sailing lessons and has been going around the house tying everything into proper knots. Before we enrolled our boy we were given a complete tour of the grounds and had an opportunity to meet a lot of the staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. I knew our boy would be taken... Introducing students to the essence of engineering through challenges and problem solving. Participants will learn how to design and assemble robots with sensors, motors, and computers using LEGO Mindstorms®. The week culminates into robot games and battles where students show off with their working robots. This class promotes problem solving, logic, artistic expression, and team-building. Students will participate in ensemble building, improvisation games, and exercises to stretch their imagination as they develop skills to think on their feet.
