Escape From City Life
Canyon Creek is just about an hour’s drive outside LA and I’m really glad we took our kids. They learned a lot about several different sports and seemed to be really excited when we picked them up. It is near a large lake and is a beautiful area. The camp was huge and had many sporting facilities. All of the equipment seemed to be new and the camp counselors were great with the kids. The campers will build with something different every day in the Makerspace, including Legos, littleBits, Knex, Straws and cardboard. Depending on the product used to build, the children will bring either their creation or a picture of what they built home with them. Although the emphasis will be on building from their imagination, there will be different prompts each day, such as to build an animal or a piece of furniture.
