What Staff Members Are On Site?
There are a number of trained staff on site. They undergo staff training to better understand the mission, policies, and schedule of the program. Different camps have different ratios. The smaller the ratio, the more individualized attention a camper will receive. For example, a 1:3 ratio means that there is one staff member per three campers. Some staff are focused on the daily care of youth in the cabin or program whereas others are trained to lead specialized activities. Foothill Horizons Summer Camp - Foothill Horizons Summer Camp
We offer seven, 5 day sessions for campers who are 8 to 12 years old. Campers who are 13 to 17 years old may attend as Counselors in Training or Junior Counselors. Each week offers an imagination based theme. Evening activites will be based on the theme of the week. Daytime activities include organized games, pool activities, creek stomps and arts and crafts. Spanish Immersion Camp: Wild and Wacky STEAM (Half Day) - Avenues New York
The half-day language immersion camp for nursery is a perfect introduction to Avenues unique teaching style, paired with the fun of summer. It will accommodate all levels of knowledge and experience in the target languages, serving as a bridge for incoming Avenues students and a learning opportunity for families who have been curious about immersion study. All families are invited to join our workshare on the last day of each session, which will showcase how much campers have accomplished and what a strong community they have built! Children must be fully toilet-trained and must have experienced separation prior to the start of camp.
