Students will learn about one of the most innovative technologies of our time - 3D Printing - and how to use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to create and print (and take home) a series of awesome designs! Every lesson, students will exchange video messages with their sponsored partner student who lives in a developing country - together, they will come to identify and learn about a global issue, and then collaboratively design, print and test an invention to help solve that issue! This summer math camp is intended to prepare students for participation in math competitions at the elementary level. The competitions included in this mathlete preparation include Math Olympiad, Noetic Math Competition, and regional math competitions. Students will utilize questions from previous competitions and other preparatory materials, individually and in groups, to prepare for individual and team competition environments as well as speed round competitions.
