In this STEM camp students will design and construct a rocket out of ordinary materials. They will construct parachutes for the rockets and see how long it takes for the rockets to fall back to the ground after launch. Spring Break Advanced Junior Golf School - Charleston Municipal Golf Course
Spring Advanced Junior Golf School Ages: 13-17 $75 Registration Fee Monday, March 28th – Thursday, March 31st 1:00pm -3:30pm This Golf School will focus solely on instruction and fundamentals of executing each golf shot. Video analysis of each shot will be recorded and reviewed and sent to the student for future review. Each student will understand their flaws and what to practice to improve them based on their goals. This class will have advanced instruction techniques but is acceptable for all abilities. Adventure Sailing M,W,F ($215 for 1 week, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
Please select a minimum of one week. The class, which meets 3 days a week, will have a distinct goal for each day: Long Sail Day - try to sail as far as possible from the club using wind direction, current/tide forecast, and navigational aides. During the following class the student will chart their course on a chart in the Sail Room with pins and yarn, and we can compare progress week to week. Star Chart Day - Students identify skills from the star chart they want to achieve (Anchoring, knots, upwind sailing, etc), and finally Catamaran Day! Students may take this course for a maximum of 4 weeks, and class may not be held if less than 2 children are signed up. The goal of Adventure Sailing is to accumulate the skills for the student to check out a Rhodes 19 on their own. (Note: Adventure Sailing will not be held during Race Week.) 508-228-1400
