Watercolor Camp - OCS Arts Center
Campers will learn about a variety of watercolor painting techniques. Exploring texture, color, and value through realistic and abstract subjects. They will build their skills with small studies, large still-life paintings, and patterned stationery designs. Open to all levels of experience. Spring Break Hardware Hacking - LMHQ
Come get a taste of hardware hacking and electronics in our 3-day spring break Arduino & Electronics Workshop. Were very excited to introduce students to working with microprocessors, sensors, motors, and other amazing tools. By the end of this course, students will know how to build basic circuits connected to their Arduinos, and will be able to write code to control their hardware using the Arduino IDE. This is a great option for students wanting to get a taste of code, hardware, and electrical engineering over their spring break! Students will get their own Arudino kits (which they can keep at the end of the course) and will work in small groups to build and explore the world of Arduino sensors and actuators. Here is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn new basketball skills and improve on existing skills, all while getting a workout. Camp Director, Sean Birdsong, has been around the game of basketball for most of his life. The son of former NBA All-Star, Otis Birdsong, Sean played locally at Bonner Springs High School and collegiately at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. Sean has also played at the professional level in the CBA, PBL, and NBA D-League workouts. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt.
