Kids Yoga and Art Holiday Camp - Ages 6 -11 - Stamford, CT
Join Kimberly Motill, certified children’s Yoga instructor, for this fun and creative camp. This fun day will include an energizing yoga class, yoga-themed games, playful partner poses, mindful art work, and guided meditation. A healthy snack and fruit smoothie will be provided. $85, pre-registration required.
2016 Pre-Teen Summer Camp – Register March 9-11 - Scott Air Force Base
Youth, ages 9-13, are invited to register for the YP Pre-Teen Summer Camp which is held weekdays during the summer months from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This camp offers half day care with extracurricular activities for youth. Field trips will be conducted once a week to places like Sky Zone, City Museum, Raging Rivers Water Parks, The Fusion, laser tag, as well as excursions to base activities. (Field trips/activities such as bowling are an additional cost.) Fee: $100/child per week, plus the cost of excursions. Youth Programs membership is required. Annual Program membership is $48/child. Camp begins at 6:30 a.m., and ends at 12:30 p.m. when open recreation at the Youth Center starts. Youth are required to bring their own meals, however the snack bar is open periodically. Limited slots are available, sign-up early! Registration will coincide with School Age Program Summer Camp registration days, March 9-11 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more details, call Youth Programs at 256-5139.

Concepts such as pH, polymers, and solutions are taught using our The Science Involved section of each activity. Experiments are conducted to introduce the Scientific Method. In this course, students will learn how to express themselves through the visual medium of motion pictures. Students will create an individual, independent film based on a story from their own life. We will work together through the entire process, from writing the story basics, and sequencing, to exploring setting, props and costuming. Free film making apps will be utilized. Students should bring their own digital device to use for filming. A few will be available for use onsite and for editing sessions.
