Kid's Camp at VT People's Convention - Montpelier, VT
This Spring the Vermont People’s Convention will bring hundreds of people together as a critical step in building a unified movement for healthy communities and a just society. On April 30 & May 1st at Montpelier High School, individuals and organizations working for disability rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, climate justice and labor unions will come together for a weekend to share, learn and take action together. The organizers of the convention are working hard to make this an intergenerational event with a parallel Youth Activism Summit for teens, and a Kid’s Camp for children 12 and under. To make lasting and far reaching change we need the participation of Grandparents, Parents and their Children! The Kid’s Camp at the People’s Convention will not only provide quality childcare, but will be a fun space for kids to learn about and participate in creating a more just and vibrant world. Through stories and activities, kids will have opportunities to learn and think critically about various struggles for human rights and dignity. With art projects, cooperative games, and nature exploration kids will be encouraged to express themselves and make friends. We have 6 awesome horse camps this summer for ages 6 to 10 and ages 11 to 15. Time is 9am to 5pm. The following weeks are available: Little Kids $135: June 13th - June 16th July 11th - July 14th August 8th - August 11th Big Kids $150: June 27th - July1st July 25th - July 29th August 22nd- August 26th Let us know as soon as possible what week you would like to place your child in. Deposits will be due begining Feb 1st to hold your spot. Full balance will be due by June 1st. If you have already contacted us in some other way, you do not need to do so again. Big T Sports and Athletics Youth Football Camp. Non-Contact camp for youth entering grades 1-6 in Fall 2015. Former College (OU and OSU) and NFL players (Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns) will be on site coaching drills, stations, and interacting with campers. PGA Junior Golf Academy (Wednesdays from 9 until 11:00 AM) - The Golf Courses of Kenton County
The Junior Golf Academy is designed to provide advanced instruction for junior golfers who have a basic understanding of the game of golf. Students will get hands on coaching from a PGA Professional in every facet of the game. This is a great opportunity for juniors to develop the skills needed for high school or competitive golf. Participants will receive driving range discounts and reduced green fees during the course of the program.
Animation Workshop Morning Session - Visual Art Institute
Experience an immersive two week animation workshop with artist Nathan Ratcliffe, a video game developer and creator and VAI alumni. This workshop will allow students to learn the complex, intensive, and rewarding process of creating a short animated film as a team. This is an amazing opportunity for teenage students to not only improve their concept of motion, but to learn technical and real-world skills.
